Lab Introduction

The Heat Transfer Laboratory conducts research on energy transport phenomena via phase interfaces and their functionalisation from nano- and micro-scale perspective in order to realise highly efficient energy utilisation.
Specifically, research is being developed on solid-liquid-gas interfacial transport mechanisms based on the science of wetting, condensation and evaporation, nanoscale thermal control via quasi-Casimir coupling-induced phonon heat transport, micro heat pipes, micro-channel cooling, nanobubbles and extreme interfacial phenomena of evaporation and condensation.
